The Prophet's awareness of the innocence of `Aishah from the accusation brought against her
Q 1(c): Some people claim that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) knew that `Aishah was innocent of the slander she was accused of before the Wahy (Revelation). Is this true?
A: The Prophet (peace be upon him) did not know that `Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) was innocent before the Wahy came down to him. If he had known her innocence, he would not have been confused, and would not have consulted his Sahabah (Companions), males and females.May Allah grant us success.
